We’re expecting hot weather this weekend and into early next week, with temperatures in the high 20s. Please monitor yourself and your vulnerable family and neighbours to avoid overheating or dehydration.
City facilities have air conditioning, so we encourage you to visit them if you need a break from the heat. They include:
- Century House at 620 8th St.
- New West Library at 716 6th Ave.
- Anvil Centre at 777 Columbia St.
- Queensborough Community Centre at 920 Ewen Ave.
All programming is continuing as scheduled. The City is prepared to activate extreme heat protocols if weather ends up hotter than expected. Enjoy the summer sunshine, but stay safe!
