Century House is run by the city, but many of its activities are run by the volunteers of the Association.
What are we?
The Century House Association is a vital component in creating a leading-edge seniors centre that takes a holistic approach to its service delivery. Through its volunteers and many social and service clubs, the Association ensures that all older adults can connect, be revitalized and experience the joy of life-long learning.
Membership
When you buy a membership at Century House (required for many activities), you become a member of the Association. Membership is open to anyone over 50. details
Quick facts
As of 2022:
- we have 2226 members
- 586 seniors participate in drop-in fitness
- Connections Café prepared and served 6500 entrée meals in 2022
Who’s in charge?
It’s all governed by well-established Policies and Procedures, which will be updated in 2023.

The Association elects an Executive Committee each year, and each activity group elects its own committee [ more about the committees ]
Annual General Meeting
An annual general meeting is held in the second week of January, to elect the Association Executive and hear reports from the Activity Committees.
