We share tips and techniques, and create as a group.
We make sweaters, afghans, baby blankets, slippers, scarves, toques, booties, hangers, coasters, tea cozies, dish cloths, kitchen towels, pot holders, soft toys, embroidery table cloths, cross-stitch plastic canvas pictures, etc.
The Group is open to all members of Century House who can knit, crochet, or do embroidery stitching. Beginners are also welcome to join. New ideas and patterns are always appreciated.
Some of the items we make are displayed in the showcase near the entrance of Century House. Most of our projects are sold at the Annual Fall Craft Sale. Various items can also be purchased on Tuesday afternoons between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., during the activity session. All proceeds from sales are donated to Century House. The last half hour of the session is devoted to social time. Members of the group mingle and enjoy tea and snacks.
Donations: We rely on donations from the community such as wool/yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery thread, crochet and knit patterns, toy stuffing, plastic canvas, and anything that can be used for crafts. Donations can be left at the Century House front office. 100% of all sales goes back to the Century House Association.
