Come and exercise your brain while socializing during a friendly game of Scrabble.
We are a gently competitive group and welcome both novice and experienced players.
We welcome to our group anyone who is friendly, co-operative and wants to have fun playing. It is not necessary to have played before or have a good knowledge of words as we have cheat sheets and it is ok to use a dictionary. We play with the standard North American Scrabble dictionary and use the Scrabble rules.
However, we do play both competitively and co-operatively as we calculate each table score at the end of a game and try to get 600 or better! Since each table comprises people at different levels of ability this requires patience and co-operation. Nevertheless we have a lot of fun and a faithful core group.
