Two virtual workshops
Both sessions are on Zoom, are free, and require advance registration.
Household Safety: Health Canada Specialists will show you ways to reduce your risks to chemicals and other pollutants in your home. Topics include: how chemicals in the environment affect health, safety with household chemicals and other household products, radon, and air quality.
Wednesday, June 24, 2:00 pm Register in advance.
Advance Care Planning: Fraser Health staff will explain the five steps of Advance Care Planning, allowing you, and the people who matter to you, to start and continue the Advance Care Planning process. COVID-19 and other unexpected events in our lives have reminded so many of us of our mortality and the benefits of planning in advance. The importance of planning ahead before you are sick has never been clearer; however, many people don’t know where to begin, while others are unaware that we can have a say in our care. This session will provide insights and resources to help you better understand how to share and document your wishes for future health and personal care.
Thursday June 25, 1:00 pm Register in advance.
For both sessions:
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Don’t forget when you get the confirmation you will look for the words “click here to join;” click there a few minutes before the session.
- You don’t need to have a Zoom account to participate, but if you don’t have the Zoom app you will be asked if it’s OK to install it. It’s safe and free, so go ahead.
Rain isn’t all bad
It makes the front garden at Century House look pretty good.
