It’s Friday, let’s be cheerful. Today felt like summer, we have new menu items, Online Coffee with Shelly on Tuesday, and some plans to start getting back toward normal.
The Connections Cafe take-out menu for May 11-15 includes Pecan Maple Cake and Thai Chicken Soup.
Online Coffee Break with Shelly
Tuesday, May 12, morning or afternoon
Shelly says: “Join me for a coffee break where we can share like we were having coffee at Century House! It’s a bit more structured then a regular coffee, I ask the group questions, have activities and maybe even special guests. Everyone has the opportunity to share up to four times.
We will be using Zoom – email me at email@example.com if you need help setting up and running zoom otherwise click the link below and register! This coffee break is open to anyone 50+.”
Tuesday May 12, 2020
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Look for the words “click here to join.” Click there a few minutes before the session and I will see you on Tuesday!
(You don’t need to have a Zoom account to participate, but if you don’t have the Zoom app you will be asked if it’s OK to install it. It’s safe and free, so go ahead.)
To continue the cheerful theme, here’s B.C.’s Restart Plan.
And here’s a recent tweet from Mayor Cote: “We are gradually starting to reopen our outdoor park facilities. Starting Saturday, May 9, the following park features will begin to reopen: outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, lacrosse boxes, skate and all-wheel parks, artificial turf fields, and Mercer track.” It’s a start!
Have a good weekend
Stay safe, and give everyone plenty of space.
