CENTURY HOUSE UKULELE MUSICIANS AND SINGERS (CHUMS)
Fees: must have paid the current years Century House membership then participation is free.
When: Thursday mornings 9:30 a.m. until noonish.
Skill: must be able to play chord shapes at beginner level in C tuning.
The group uses the “The Daily Ukulele” – 365 songs for better living” as our song book. This is a strum and sing group. Loaner books and stands are made available. Individuals rotate making selections for the group to strum and sing. We also have a “sing-out”selection of songs for when we entertain at various care homes, etc.
UNPLUGGED – meets first Wednesday evening of the month.
This event is open to anyone who plays an instrument and/or has a desire to sing. We meet in the evening at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. During the summer months when the Centre is closed in the evening, we meet in Moody Park around a picnic table. Again, we use the “The Daily Ukulele” for selections to sing and strum. Loaner books and stands are made available.
