Welcome to the Century House Artists group.
What We Do: The Artists Drop-In was set up to fill the needs of artists who wanted a place to bring their own art projects and work with like-minded seniors (50+). We have no teacher and work independently. Some artists are not able to work at home and Century House provides us with a well-lit room and a set time to expand our work.
The social aspect of the group is friendly and supportive. We have beginners, those coming back to art after busy years doing other things, as well as more experienced artists. Some of us take regular classes and the Drop-In provides another few hours to work and find out what else is happening in the art world.
If you have always wanted to dabble in some form of artistic expression and didn’t know where to start — DROP-IN!
Important to Know: During the years people have donated a variety of painting supplies, and aspiring artists feel free to try out different media: oil, acrylic, watercolour, or pencil.
When Do We Meet?: Thursdays from 1-3 p.m.
What Is the Cost?: By donation
Who Can Join?: Century House members
